Microsoft Certified Application Developer or MCAD

The Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) certification program is the mid level programming certification offered by Microsoft, leading to the M.C.S.D. To fulfill the requirements of this certification program, an individual has to pass total of three examinations of which two are core examinations, one is elective examination. Microsoft has declared that this certification program will focus on the needs of developers those who use .NET Framework 1.0 and 1.1 versions. Developers using .NET Framework 2.0 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 are generally expected to consider undergoing Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist or M.C.T.S. certification and Microsoft Certified Professional Developer or M.C.P.D. certification programs.
